Valmar Antiques was founded in 1967 in London by John and Marina Orpin  and after several years of successful trading as general antique dealers the business was moved to its current location at Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex.

In 2006 John passed away but Marina is carrying on.

Whilst the business still offers a wide range of antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries Marina has become more specialised in Arts and Crafts, Aesthetic Movement, Gothic Revival and Art Deco. Copper metalware of the Arts & Crafts period and Staffordshire Blue & White pottery.
